Who we are

Aachen Drone Development Initiative (ADDI e.V.) is a student association founded in 2019 to take part in competitons across the world and realize projects from the field of aerial robotics. Students from across many different fields work together to realize a wide variety of different projects.

What we do

From “classical” aircraft and quadcopters to autonomous operations and long-duration flight projects we strive to do as many of the different aspects of our projects in-house. From carbon fiber and aluminum to electronic components and our autonomous software stack we aim to understand the entire process from start to finish.

Our mission statement compactly describes why we do what we do: learning new topics, building cool projects and seeing our ideas take flight through dedication and teamwork. Solving interdisciplinary challenges cooperatively and building a network with others in technical fields makes participating at ADDI worthwile and fun.

A club for everyone

We strongly believe that not only our work but the technical field in general should be a welcoming and open place for all people. We do not tolerate discrimination or other forms of exclusion in our club or at any of the events we participate in. Everyone is welcome to join us and participate in what we do - together.
