Common questions
Do I need previous experience?
Previous experience is not necessary to join ADDI in any position. Developing new skills is a big part of what we do so as long as you are willing to learn new things, we look forward to meeting you.
Does membership cost me anything?
The Aachen Drone Development Initiative does not have a membership fee.
How much time do I need to invest?
There is no formalized time requirement, and expected time investment varies depending on the project. You can expect roughly 4-6 hours per week subject to scheduling and availability. What is important is to contribute towards a project and reliably work during the duration of the project and in line with the agreed time investment.
None of the positions are an exact match - can I join regardless?
Sure! You are more than welcome to send us an application regarding a project or field of your interest, even if it is not explicitly listed below. There are always new things to work on, and we look forward to meeting you as well as getting to know you and your skills.
